You came really close actually. I was living this life full of absolutely nothing for a while, then you came along. You made me laugh, you made me smile. You gave me butterflies like I’ve never had before. You made me think you felt the same. “I care about you and I want to see you happy.” But how could that be possible when you’re what makes me happy..? I let this happen, I let my guard down. I burned a few bridges on the way but I didn’t care. I was willing to risk it all. To be with you, to be your everything… How stupid I was. How easily you could have become my everything. You rejected me and now I’m heartbroken. I hate you for doing this but I hate myself so much more for letting it happen.
